Squad Builds

If you go to Compete > Colosseum then click rank then choose master then click the little (i) on each rank you can see what people’s squads consist of. Now this is just their PVP squad, but I have a strong suspicion that this is also their main squad for doing raids and such too. This gives us a great glimpse into what some of the top squads are made of and let’s us understand what makes a good squad.
This is not meant to prove who is the best hero or best squad. It’s simply interesting to look at what some other players are using and what the makeup of their squad is.
Below are the top PVP ranks for Master tier on US West server for the week of 6/22/2019.

(M) = Magic attack. (P) = Physical attack. It’s interesting to look to see if a team is balanced half Physical half Magic attacks. I believe the way it works is that a hero either attacks as M or P, and all heroes have a M and P defense rating. So someone with a high magic attack will easily kill someone with a low magic defense.
While there are some commonalities I’m amazed at how differ so many builds are. What seems typical is to have Richard + LeeJiyeon + DPS, and whatever else. But there are a few builds that are totally different.
#4 has no strong healer but instead 2 very weak healers Aaren and Yeonhwa. But these two healers are super at buffing and debuffing the enemy so it seems to balance out for them.
#6, #7, and #9 have no main tank but instead an offensive tank to act as the main tank. Sometimes even two offensive tanks. These offensive tanks are meant to do more damage and not take a ton of damage. It’s fascinating to see this combo working at such high levels.
#7 is particularly interesting because there’s no defensive tanker or main healer and all those heroes are in the specialist class. Meaning they all compete for evolution material, for a slot in the 10x summon, and for crests. Which means this build would take forever to build up!
